Constant State of Nostalgia

This drawing took me about 10 hours to complete. The premise of the piece changed as I made it- It started with the desire to only use pictures I had on my phone, and morphed slowly, so I did include some people who may not have made it otherwise, and excluded some people who maybe would have. It's weird.

Here is the full image, made up of faces of people I've loved or who have given me help for the past four years.

Portraits Semester

My professor told me to pick something for this semester that I'm passionate about.

Well, since I'm wrapped up in my own life, I picked portraits, so I can draw people I love (and myself, over and over) and get away with it.

Here's what I've done so far this semester, in no particular order.

Me.

Sarah, an ex-coworker

Me again, pencil and ink wash

Britney, a love of my life.

Farrin, in cante crayon.

Logan, in oil pastel.

Me again. Oil pastel.

A very huge very angry self portrait in oil pastel. Jim likes this one. (He's my professor.)

aaaand me on colored paper with black cante and white charcoal.

The wall of what I've done so far.
